APC release price of forms


The ruling party APC has announced that presidential aspirants for the 2019 election in its party will pay N45 million to obtain the party’s Expression of Interest and Nomination forms while state governorship aspirants are to pick up the forms for N22.5m.

This was disclosed by the National Organising Secretary of the party, Emma Ibediro. In a schedule released yesterday, Ibediro stated that all aspirants are to pick up the forms before they can stand a chance of contesting in the direct primary slated for September 20th.

According to the statement, for the presidential aspirants, the Expression of Interest form costs N5 million and the Nomination form N40 million. The party said there shall be no separate charge for the vice-presidential aspirants and also announced a 50 per cent discount for female and physically challenged aspirants, for all positions.

Aspirants for the governorship posts would pay N22.5 million for both expression of Interest and the Nomination forms. While the latter costs N20 million, the expression of interest form costs N2.5 million.

House of Assembly aspirants would pay N850,000.

Aspirants into the House of Representatives would pay N3.8million and the Senate N7million.

Ibediro said the sale of Nomination and Expression of Interest forms for all elective offices would commence today Wednesday September 5th and would  end on Septemebr 10th. All forms are expected to be submitted not later than Wednesday September 12th.

The party’s congress would hold on Sept.12 nationwide to elect delegates for its primaries.
September 13th-14th has also been fixed to hear appeals that may arise from the congress, while September 15th-18th would be for screening of aspirants that purchased forms.
“All forms are to be collected and submitted on or before Wednesday Sept.12, 2018,” he said

Appeals that may arise from the screening of aspirants would be heard on September 19th-20th.

Presidential primaries would hold on Sept.20 while appeal that may arise from the conduct would be heard on September 22nd. September 25th has been fixed for the party’s governorship primaries to elect governorship candidates for the election, while Sept. 26th-27th had also been fixed as a day for hearing of appeal that may arise from the conduct.

September 28th to 30th had been fixed for hearing of appeals that may arise from all legislative primaries.

The party announced that October 6th had been fixed for the National Convention to ratify the party’s candidate for the 2019 Presidential election.

Cameroon legend Samuel Eto'o donates to former captain Norbert Owona

Cameroonian legend,  Samuel Eto’o  has reportedly donated funds to the former captain of the Indomitable Lions,  Norbert Owona  who has been homeless and sick. According to several reports, Owona became very broke, sick and homeless after he lost his family in an accident. He appealed to the government of Cameroon for help but his request was not granted. But thanks to Samuel Eto'o who has come to the aid of the poverty-stricken former captain. He paid him a visit during his recent trip to Cameroon and donated the sum of 500,000FCFA. It was also reported that the UEFA Champions League winner also promised to give him a brand new house. Owona played several years for the Cameroonian national team and represented the Indomitable Lions in two Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournaments.
