Ed Sheeran says next music is experimental

Ed Sheeran has hinted that his next music will follow the ‘experimental’ vein that he first explored during the early stages of his career.
Before finding global fame, the ‘Shape of You’ singer released 2011’s ‘EP No. 5 Collaborations Project’ which featured collaborations with the likes of Wiley,DevlinJME and Sway.
Speaking to the BBC, Sheeran explained how he’d been keen to take his future music back in that particular direction.
“I would love to do something like that again”, he said. He also described the EP as “the most interesting project I think I’ve ever made”.
It could even emerge as early as next year, in a bid to “clear the air”.

“I’d like to bring out a project next year that isn’t an album,” he admitted.

“Something that isn’t pushed on radio. Something that’s not what I usually do, that just clears the air a little bit.”

Meanwhile, Sheeran recently hinted he got married to his longtime girlfriend in secret in a new interview.

The musician announced his engagement to Cherry Seaborn on Instagram in January. “Got myself a fiancé just before new year,” he wrote. “We are very happy and in love, and our cats are chuffed as well xx.”

When asked if the couple had picked a date in an interview with Access, the star blushed and lifted his left hand to show a silver band on his ring finger.
