Chelsea wants Higuain and Rugani

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich and director Marina Granovskaia are set to meet in France for crunch transfer talks, with the potential signings of Juventus' Gonzalo Higuain and Daniele Rugani on the agenda.

Higuain would only likely come to Chelsea if Alvaro Morata is sold, and their futures depend on talks over the coming days.

The Premier League side face Inter in a pre-season friendly in Nice on Saturday and it is understood chiefs from both clubs will speak about the Serie A club’s Uruguayan midfielder Matias Vecino.

APC youths burn down police station in Akwa Ibom

Angry APC youths have burnt down the Divisional Police Station in Okobo Local Government Area (LGA) of Akwa Ibom State, while they protested the alleged imposition of candidate and hijacking of materials by the party officials in connivance with security agents. The youths were angry over the alleged attempts by former senate minority leader and former governor of the state, Godswill Akpabio, to substitute the name of the winner of the federal constituency primaries with his preferred nominee, Victor Antai who was a former Commissioner of Culture in the state.
